7.20 - Lorelai? Lorelai? - (151)
Review by Craig Best (aka Lancer1993)

I'm keeping these shorter this time to about a page full but we'll see how it goes.

Another great episode, Lorelai serenading Luke, what more could you want. Well we got the lot, townies singing, Lane and Zach with the babies. Luke wearing the blue cap again and even a short bit of Emily and Richard.

The sad part of the episode is how Luke was so excited about the boat trip but 'cause of a science camp for April they have to put it off and have a much shorter trip at the end of summer.

Thanks to opposites-are-polar.net for the screen cap
I like how even after this Luke is still happy, not at first but the karaoke song "I Will Always Love You" from Lorelai might have had something to do with that. Luke and Lorelai are getting along more and after Lorelai see Luke in the blue cap she wants to do something to acknowledge it. but she didn't keep a "Luke Box" like she did with Max. So maybe the song was it.

Lane and Zach are great and now Zach has a chance of hitting it big but it means being away for Lane for 8 weeks, they are living the dream. Rory actually talks to Lane, which is sorely missed this season. But it does show how different their lives are now.

The Friday Night Dinner was way too short and only lasted for drinks before they cut to the next day.

I had a feeling they were bringing out all the townies, 'cause you also saw Caesar, Lulu and Gypsy

Best lines
BABETTE: It's for my throat. Gives it a rougher quality, a husky sound sort of like Debbie Harry meets Ethel Merman!

LORELAI: So! Anything could go wrong. You're on a boat in the water in the middle of nowhere. Haven't you seen "Dead Calm," "Open Water," "Das Boot"?

LUKE: Okay, first of all, I did not purchase a u-boat.

LANE: Oh my God I want to yell, but I don't want to wake the babies. I'm yelling on the inside.

LANE: Do you smell that?

BRIAN: Well, that's one way to find out.

LORELAI: Oh, no. I'd have to be way more drunk for that.

RORY: Well, we can arrange that. Excuse me. Could we get some shots here?

Best scenes
Sad - After the call from April, the look on Luke's face.

Funny - When Lorelai first say the blue cap "a top" Luke's head.

Romantic - Lorelai serenading Luke at karaoke.
