I'm keepisodeing these shorter this time to about a page full but we'll see how it goes.
| Okay well the first Chris and Lorelai episode, wow they are moving fast, both Chris and Lorelai and the episodes. Chris and Lorelai have been dating for 6 weeks, which would have started with the phone call in the last episode. That aside I don’t know what to think of the “perfect date” it felt forced somehow, like Chris was trying to hard to please Lorelai. Maybe he’s just getting a little tired and wants to get back in Lorelai’s pants again? I mean it has been more than 2 months since they were in bed |

The scenes were nice but I think they are trying to copy what Luke did in many ways, to give Lorelai what she wants in a date. They are acting weird, which is understandable since they have known each other for more than 30 years but never really dated. So it’s a weird mix of knowing each other but not as adults and dating. I personally didn’t like the ending but you could see to coming if you were blind Freddie.
Rory is getting back to business a Yale and at the paper but even that was a little boring, she goes to the art thing and meet two girls. There was meant to be a scene with Richard (who is now a guess lecture at Yale) with the girls but that was cut, it could have been fun. The girls and Rory went back to the apartment, which also didn’t go any where, I hope they give Rory more of a story line this season!
Emily was fun and about time the pulled someone over for using a cell phone while driving, maybe next time they can bust Lorelai. Lorelai loved that her mother was arrested but might have went too far and by the way a nice way to be busted that Chris and Lorelai are now dating, but again that went no where. They didn’t say anything about it or make much of a fuss or deny it like I thought Lorelai might do, if the past was anything to go by.
Luke was great with April and it’s nice to see Anna trust him to watch her for a couple of weeks, pity we didn’t get to see Luke tell Anna about Lorelai or ask what happened when they met in SCPP, anther missed opportunity. Luke was so proud with her is almost makes up for the Chris and Lorelai scenes.
I just felt while some things happened for the most part the episode just didn’t go anywhere, maybe they are setting up for the rest of the season still.

EMILY: Young man, I don't know where that's been, but I can say with absolute certainty it won't be going anywhere near my mouth.
