7.02 - That's What You Get, Folks, For Makin' Whoopee - (133)
Review by Craig Best (aka Lancer1993)

I'm keeping these shorter this time to about a page full but we'll see how it goes.

While I felt this episode was better than the last and they go together as a pair. But it still had it's problems starting with more freedom in the language used, lots of um's and stuff, it make it sound more real but takes away a little from the tight language that Amy used to have.

Thanks to opposites-are-polar.net for the screen cap
Well what can I say Luke hitting Chris, and it's about frakken time! I would have like Luke to ask "did you sleep with Lorelai first but what are you gonna do. By the way this is the is the first time neither Lorelai or Rory are in the teaser.

Rory is still bummed that she is not going to see Logan for months until Christmas and Lorelai is trying to be supportive, ending up using her Wonder Woman powers to decorate the house in an Asian theme, complete with clothes, food, movies and music. It makes her feel better until Chris calls and she finds out what happened. I think it was good letting her have it and it's what some and have been thinking.

Lorelai was not having a good day, first breaking it to Luke she had slept with Chris then a few hours later running into him on the street, where he acts like their relationship was not big deal. But who was buying that, not me. Luke is still in pain but trying to convince himself he's okay. Late in the episode they run into each other again in a real supermarket, to Dooses. Where he tells Lorelai they don't belong together and he's out but again I'm not buying that. Just before he was with Liz and trying to sell them on it but in my opinion not doing a good job. Lorelai almost looses it in the supermarket and letter is at home crying when Rory comes home. So I don't think she wanted it to over either.

On another note Lane and Zach come home and didn't have a very good honeymoon, Lane doesn't like sex and a bad try at a "From Here To Eternity" re-enactment. And to top it of she's pregnant, good job Zach. Rory is there to reassure her she will be a great mother and all mothers mess up, hidden meaning there with Lorelai?

Luke is getting the diner back up and running with help from what looks like his only friend T.J., where is Jackson or for that matter ED? Luke is distracted when Kirk's Diner is set up in the park across the street. Kirk complete with backward base ball cap and flannel shirt is one of the funniest things he has done. Great scene. Luke tells T.J. about breaking up with Lorelai which leads to a diner Liz and T.J. Liz think that Luke and Lorelai were not on the right plane but Luke think they may never have been right for each other which leads Luke to being in the supermarket and talking to Luke at the end of the episode because the stove was not working so the food was not cooked.

Again overall it was better than the first episode but there is still something missing but no own seams to be able to put there finger on it.
