There are deleted scenes for episodes 8, 10 and 19. But they are on the 6th DVD in one file, making them harder to accessible for each episode and are easy to overlook.
The making of extra was good and showed some insight into the show and it's stars but was to short.
The factiods episode is "Rory's Dance" and appearing on-screen but you have to watch closely as they is no sound like on pop-up video on VH1. This was interesting but I would much prefer to have audio commentary by the stars, director or writer.
The last extra is the "Gilmore-isms" which is a montage of the different phrases on the show, it only lasts 2 minutes and is good but could have been much longer.

My Review
Overall the box set is good for a first season sound and video are good. But given the time delay (more than 3 years since it original aired) and the amount of extras in some box sets now available it could have been much better.

Extras I would like to see in future seasons are more behind the scenes, audio commentary by the cast, writers and directors and features on the different episodes and cast members.

Just the pilot ep, good and cheap if you don't want to pay for the entire season but not worth it if you want to get the full impact of the season or series.
