Written by Carole King and Toni Stern
Originally released on the album "Tapestry" by Carole King in 1971
Carole King and Louise Goffin re-recording the song with a few different lines from the original especially for the show.
Released as a full-length song on the Gilmore Girls soundtrack "Our Little Corner Of The World"

A 50 second version is played at the beginning of every episode after the teaser opening scenes.
La La's and other theme music
During every episode other theme music plays, most are the La La's but there are a number of different themes. The details of which can be found at audiophile, there are details for Seasons 1, 2 and 3.
Friday Night Dinner (FND)
Most Friday night dinners have some classical music playing in the background. I don't know the name of the music so most are listed as unknown.
Don't Steal Music

The music used on Gilmore Girls is very important to the story.

  • The music list are sorted by season and episode, I will add to the lists when I have time.
  • Include in the list are any music played during the show either in the background or over the scene.
  • It includes music mentioned or lines from songs spoken/sung but the actors,Other things cell phone ring tones and clothing.
